Panther Youth Wrestling Newsletter – Issue #4

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving.  This week, we will focus on preparing for the first tournament of the year in Lincoln a week from today.  The experience and new groups will be blended together.  We will continue to have one coach focusing on each group of new kids, however, all moves and drills will be done as one squad.  We will be doing a lot of live and situational work as well as discuss what will happen during tournaments.

Reminder  Order forms and fees for the Clinton Challenge are due at practice on Tuesday (Dec 7th).

Practice Schedule – This Week

Tuesday night, 6:00 – 7:30 pm.  There will be no actual practice on Thursday due to Picture Night.

Apparel Orders

We would like the orders turned in by the night of Thursday, December 2nd. I do have additional apparel order forms if you need one.  The forms handed out show the youth sizes grayed out for sweat pants.  In addition, YS sizes were added to most items.  I sent a separate email with the corrected form.

Picture Night/Handing Out of Singlets

Coach Scott Upton has secured a photographer and forms were handed out last Tuesday.  Picture night is at 6:00 Thursday, December 2nd in LeRoy H.S. Cafetorium.  Please have your child come dressed in their singlet for pictures.  There is a girls basketball game, so concessions will be open and fans will be in and out, so please have your child be courteous.  For those that did not receive a form, don’t worry.  I will have forms at Tuesday’s practice and again on Thursday the night of the pictures.

Singlets were also handed out last Tuesday.  If you did not attend practice last week, I have your child’s singlet and will hand out on Tuesday.  Please have your child try on their singlets and let me know if you have concerns with fit.  I will check at picture night and change sizes where necessary.  Remember, singlets are designed to fit tight.
